This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Hicksville is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Hicksville is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I have to say, this place isnβt fully authentic being that the reviews from a Vietnamese person pointed out their differences and I thought the same. Missing the Vietnam wall clock! π But this is the only Vietnamese restaurant in Long Island that serves Bun Bo Hue! I usually have to go all the way to Flushing Queens, Brooklyn or Manhattan for Bun Bo Hue. Brooklyn and Manhattan for Bun Rieu, but hey, not everyone serves it due to the complexity of the dish. I have to give them an βAβ for effort at least. Their Bun Bo Hue didnβt use the chili shrimp paste that gives it the spicy umami flavor and it is suppose to be a lemongrass broth. Most likely they used the pho beef broth and added some chili oil to it. The pork trotters werenβt as I expected either. The Combination Pho was nice, the broth had a slightly smokey flavor to it, from what I noticed the day I tried it. The grilled pork wasnβt pork slices, but were in strips. The spring rolls were way overdone from the color of it and the filling tasted a bit dated and not the same from an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. But overall no complaints from the family, which is an A in my book, being with how picky they are with

We waited a very long time for our food and drinks. The food was mediocre. It could be more flavorful, which is disappointing considering the wait. The interior of the restaurant is lovely though, and itβs comfortable. I wouldnβt come back.

This place is seriously so good. The food is absolutely delicious β super flavorful and truly authentic. My husband and I started with the popcorn chicken and fried squid, and both were amazing. The batter was light and crispy without being heavy, and each had its own unique flavor. The squid came with a fish sauce that quickly became my favorite β it paired perfectly with everything. Of course, we had to get pho. It came with the usual sides of bean sprouts, mint, lime, and jalapeΓ±os. This time I ordered the beef broth pho with rice noodles and grilled chicken, with fish sauce on the side. The chicken was juicy and packed with flavor, and the fish sauce made it even better. On a previous visit, I had the beef broth with rare eye round and beef short rib, and that was just as delicious β rich, comforting, and full of flavor. I also tried the passionfruit tea and was pleasantly surprised when it came with popping bubbles. It wasnβt too sweet or overpowering β just really refreshing and well balanced. One of the best parts was the staff. On our last visit, I accidentally left my refillable water bottle there. When I called about it, they had kept it for me instead of throwing it

This is the best pho in Long Island Iβve tried so far. Their beef pho is excellentβrich and flavorful while still feeling light at the time. The service is attentive, and the interior is very clean. Also highly recommend their vermicelli dishes and their crispy squid appetizer β all fresh!
